Most of the Jews would have been constantly hungary, they would have gotten soup adn bread for the whole day, if the Jews where to have eaten it all at once, than they wouldn't have any more food for dinner or lunch. Every decision would have been made for survival, people would be selfish and it wouldn't be nessacary for them to be careing for others, Jews would have put themselves first. They would have put themselves first in order to survive. Elie had one meal a day, and if he had finished it all fawst, than he would not have anything else for the remaing hours. The Jews would have had medical examinations, the prisioners where to have been seen by a dentist, the dintist job had been to look for any golden teeth in the prisioners mouths. What the had to do was bring prisioners to a warehouse where they would count and sort electrical parts.

They job had not been very taxing. Elie had a golden tooth and had been wanting to keep it, because he knew that his tooth is worth a lot, he had planned that one day he would use his tooth to buy food and not be hungary. But unforntually Elie had been caught and had been told to go to the dentist. He had gone to the dentist, but had faked being sick, to be able to keep his golden tooth, the dentist had told him to come back, but to not wait to be called by him, and so Elie did what had been told, but he had told the same lie again. The dentist wants the golden teeth to be able to help the German wareffort. Elie thinks that the golden tooth could save his life and it is his only value that he has left. It had turned out that the dentist had been arrested and would be hung for selling gold teeth on the side of persocalm profit and had been caught, so he would have to be killed for keeping money for himself.
