Elie No Longer Believes In God

 When Elie and many other jews had been assigned to the line where they were not to killed right away and sent to work at the Auschwitz concentration camp, after, they had to strip their clothes down and pile it all together. They were then looked over by SS soldiers, some were taken and put to work somewhere else, they're based off of how strong and fit they look. AFter this, they were then sent to the barber, where they'd shaved all the hair off of their bodies. With that hair they had used it to help create bombs and other things. They then were taken to their barracks. Where they conversated with others and rested, for they needed all the rest they could get for the labor they were going to do for days on days. 

 Nazi troops treated the Jews horribly at the camps. As we talked about in class, nowadays versus during that time, kindness now is rewarded and good, but back then in the camps, kindness was punished, while being nasty and awful to Jews was good. A lot of the times those who had looked over the Jews in the camps had not made it to fight on the battlefield, because some might've had either mental or physical disabilities, making them want to transfer their oppression onto the jews, and some were psychos, that took pleasure in hurting Jews.
