Chapter 1
Chapter 1 is all about Elie Wiesel and the things in his life before Jews were taken away. Ironically he was studying the Kaballah and really taking his Jewish faith seriously when Hungarian Police took away some Jewish foreigners. Of course once the idea spread that they were working somewhere else and content with where they were people stopped worrying about them and slowly began to forget they were their. Where as Elie Wiesel began moving on since he really did not have much of a connection with Moishe Beadle yet easily he could of been the exact way had he been taken during that time. Though he eventually got taken later anyways.
Moishe Beadle seems to be an example of what could happen if we are not careful. As if we keep on living day to day without any meaningful goals we are just going to become useless without any goals and become almost pointless. To the point where it would take just a few weeks for people to get over you. As even if you do not become any great to have no one who your disappearance had a lasting effect on really says something. Which is why you should live every day as your last. He was described simply as a guy who was polite but could be insignificant and invisible on will in social circumstances.

I agree with you here. We should make our life count for sure and live everyday to the fullest. If we do not have goals or an intention to do something good we will become nothing and just get older and older, until we finally pass away. Also I agree with you on how we should try to be nice to others and interact with others , for if we don't no one will care about you when you are gone, etc., just like how MOishe Beadle had disappeared and no one
